what about those park rules
We want everyone to have a great Artown experience and complying with the rules helps everyone. Here are some things to keep in mind during park special events...
* No glass
* No pets
* No riding bicycles or skateboards or operating other vehicles in the event area.
* No outside alcohol
* Any alcoholic beverage purchased at the event, must be consumed within the
event area
* Help us to keep the park clean by packing out what you pack in
* Smoking is only allowed in areas designated by the park
* Remember to bring low-back chairs and blankets for grass seating. Low-back
chairs have legs no taller than 6” and backs no taller than shoulder height when
seated. Designated areas are available toward the back for higher chairs and
volunteers are able to assist with seating.
* Specially designated senior and special needs seating areas are available.
Volunteers are available for those that require assistance.
* Please be kind and courteous to your neighbors during the performances.
* Artown reserves the right to keep the celebration safe and fun for everyone
when to arrive
To increase the comfort of our audience in Wingfield Park, the seating area is closed for one hour prior to each event. This allows our volunteers time to prepare the park for the performance and your arrival. The park re-opens one-and-a-half hours prior to the start of each performance. If you want to secure a great seat when the park opens, we encourage you to arrive an hour and a half before each event as lines typically begin to form at that time.
